"My Dull Mouth" är en föreställning konstruerad av vrakdelar från Neil Lucks senaste kompositioner. Misslyckade försök och framföranden, utdrag, felsägningar och halvartade kompositioner räddas, dekonstrueras och hasplas fram som funktionsdugligt material i en performance som framförs sittande vid ett bord. Material som vanligen kastas överbord i den konstnärliga processen reduceras ner till minsta grundelement och mixas samman på ett helt nytt sätt. "My Dull Mouth" är en vindsröjning av konstnärligt material som återanvänds, växer och förändras för varje föreställning. Neil Luck är kompositör, musiker och regissör baserad i London. Hans arbete fokuserar på teatraliska och musikaliska framföranden som genomförs som musikteater, konsertverk, curatoriska projekt, installationer och offentliga projekt.

Bio

Neil Luck is a composer, performer and director based in London. His practice focuses on the
theatrical and physiological nature of musical performance, a concern which underpinned all his
work in a range of media from music-theatre, to concert works, curatorial projects, installations and
public projects.

He has written for a range of soloists and ensembles in the UK and abroad, and presented work at
music venues, festivals galleries internationally including the ICA, Kings Place, Whitechapel Gallery,
Tate Britain, Tate Modern, LSO St. Lukes, BBC Cut&Splice festival, in Vilnius as part of the 2009
Capital of Culture celebrations, the Tokyo Experimental Festival, and on BBC Radio 3.
He is the founder and director of the ensemble ARCO – a group which focuses on experimental
approaches to music-theatre, and along with Federico Reuben and Adam de la Cour co-founder of
squib-box; a netlabel and cooperative dedicated to the production and dissemination of radical and
avant-garde music.



As a curator and producer Neil has organised a number of events and festivals which reflect his
interests in live performance. This has included Notations and The Voice and Nothing More in
collaboration with Sam Belinfante at the Slade Research Centre, a mini festival held in an Old Police
Station with squib-box, several festivals of interactive and participatory live art at the Tate Britain, a
six part radio series for Resonance FM, and many more smaller concerts and happenings.
